These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the SingularityLock website, products, and related services (collectively, the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. Identity of the Service
SingularityLock (“SingularityLock”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) provides a digital protocol environment designed to support structured behavioral commitments through scheduled check-ins and verification mechanisms. The Service is not a bank, gambling platform, escrow provider, medical service, or financial adviser.
2. Eligibility
By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:
- You are at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, if higher).
- You have the legal capacity to enter into a binding contract.
- You are not barred from using the Service under any applicable law.
3. Nature of the Service
SingularityLock charges a Service Fee in exchange for access to a time-limited behavioral protocol (the “Protocol”). The Protocol may include daily check-ins, proof submissions, and progress tracking relating to a personal habit or objective you choose.
The Service Fee is a commercial payment for digital services, platform access, and protocol administration. It is not a wager, bet, stake, deposit, escrow arrangement, or financial investment.
4. Service Fee and Platform Integrity
When you initiate a Protocol, you pay a Service Fee displayed at checkout. This fee covers:
- Access to the SingularityLock protocol environment for a defined term.
- Use of SingularityLock’s systems for check-ins, verification, and status tracking.
- Platform operations, administration, and infrastructure costs.
Depending on the specific Protocol you select, you may be eligible for a Conditional Performance Rebate. Eligibility and the amount (if any) of a rebate will be determined strictly according to the Protocol rules presented to you at or before checkout.
In general, and unless explicitly stated otherwise:
- If you successfully complete all required check-ins and verifications for the full duration of your chosen Protocol, you may qualify for a rebate equal to a portion of your Service Fee, after deduction of applicable platform costs and fees.
- If you miss required check-ins, fail to provide acceptable proof, provide fraudulent or misleading submissions, or otherwise fail to meet the stated Protocol conditions, you will not receive any rebate. The entire Service Fee will be retained as payment for services rendered.
5. No Gambling, No Escrow, No Betting
The Service is designed and operated as a digital accountability and protocol-management environment. It is not:
- a gambling or betting platform;
- a lottery, contest of chance, or game of chance;
- a profit-making or investment vehicle.
All payments are commercial Service Fees. Any Conditional Performance Rebate is a discretionary rebate triggered by verified Protocol completion, not a prize or winnings.
6. User Responsibilities
You are solely responsible for:
- Selecting your Protocol term and commitment parameters.
- Submitting accurate, truthful, and timely check-ins and proof of compliance.
- Ensuring that any content you upload does not violate any law or infringe any rights.
- Maintaining the confidentiality of any login or access credentials you use for the Service.
7. No Medical, Psychological, or Professional Advice
SingularityLock does not provide medical, psychological, psychiatric, therapeutic, or professional health services. The Service is not a substitute for professional diagnosis, treatment, or therapy.
You should consult a qualified professional before making decisions that affect your health, mental health, or wellbeing. If you are in crisis or at risk of self-harm or harming others, please contact local emergency services or a crisis helpline immediately.
8. Content and Submissions
You may be required to submit written responses, screenshots, photos, or other content (“User Content”) as part of the Protocol.
By providing User Content, you represent and warrant that:
- You have all necessary rights to share that content.
- Your content does not infringe the rights of any third party.
- Your content does not contain unlawful, abusive, harassing, or harmful material.
You grant SingularityLock a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, store, and process User Content solely for the purpose of providing and improving the Service, verifying compliance, and for internal auditing and security.
9. Protocol Decisions and Disputes
SingularityLock may review your submissions to determine whether you have met the conditions for successful Protocol completion.
Objective Standards: Determinations are based on the specific Verification Standards provided to you at the initiation of your Protocol (e.g., photo clarity requirements, timestamp metadata, or specific activity logs).
All decisions regarding whether a check-in was properly submitted will be made in good faith. If a submission is rejected for technical reasons (e.g. blurriness or unreadable text), we may—at our sole discretion—allow a brief window for resubmission. However, absent clear platform error, our decisions regarding compliance and rebate eligibility are final.
10. Payment Processing and Third-Party Providers
Payments for the Service may be processed by third-party payment providers. Your use of such providers is subject to their separate terms and privacy policies.
We do not store full payment card details. We may receive and store limited transaction metadata (e.g., time, amount, status) for accounting, verification, and security purposes.
11. Cooling-Off Period and Refunds
24-Hour Cooling-Off Period: We understand that starting a Protocol is a significant commitment. You may cancel your Protocol for any reason within twenty-four (24) hours of the initial payment for a full refund of the Service Fee. To initiate this, you must contact hello@singularitylock.com before the 24-hour window expires.
Post-Cooling-Off: After the 24-hour cooling-off period expires, the Service Fee becomes non-refundable, except via the Conditional Performance Rebate mechanism.
12. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
- Attempt to manipulate, falsify, or automate check-ins in a deceptive way.
- Probe, scan, or test system vulnerabilities without express permission.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to derive source code from the Service.
13. Intellectual Property
All content and materials on the Service, including branding, text, layouts, visuals, graphics, and protocol frameworks, are owned by SingularityLock or its licensors and protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
14. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided on an “AS IS” and “AS AVAILABLE” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
15. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, SingularityLock and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.
